1. Department Overview:
The Digestive Department at the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College holds the distinction of being the first specialized center for digestive diseases in Northeast Sichuan. Over time, it has grown into the region's largest and most influential center for diagnosing, treating, and performing endoscopy for digestive diseases. Moreover, it serves as the hub for the Medical Quality Control Center for Gastroenterology in Nanchong, responsible for ensuring comprehensive quality control of gastroenterology in medical institutions at all levels within the city. Annually, the department handles more than 80,000 outpatient visits and discharges over 2,500 patients. Additionally, it conducts endoscopic diagnoses and treatments for more than 50,000 individuals, while performing surgeries or treatments for over 4,000 cases.
